Welcome to The Matheny Hospital
Many of the inpatients at Matheny, in addition to their primary diagnoses, have a long list of associated clinical conditions, such as vision and hearing deficits, seizure disorders, intellectual disabilities and dysphagia, with resulting aspiration problems.
The expertise developed over the years for its inpatients is now available to children and adults in the community at the Center of Medicine and Dentistry, where we treat individuals with significant disabilities in a range of disciplines, all at one site.
Matheny also trains healthcare professionals, therapists and educators in how to work effectively with persons who have developmental disabilities.
