Matheny’s rehabilitation technology staff are trained and certified in the skills necessary to evaluate and resolve the seating and mobility needs of children and adults with developmental disabilities. Our experienced staff assist our clients by recommending and providing the most appropriate equipment to meet their complex needs.

In addition to providing these services to Matheny residents, our rehab professionals work with our Seating Clinic to provide these services to outpatients, and they travel to outside facilities and organizations for people with disabilities throughout New Jersey, including special needs students in several school districts throughout the state. We work closely with therapists and clinicians at these sites to share our expertise in the selection and procurement of durable medical equipment (DME) and complex rehabilitative technology (CRT).

DME and CRT includes: power wheelchairs, manual wheelchairs, seating systems, bath equipment, positioning aids, and more, which can be individually configured for each client.

Matheny’s on-site rehab technology shop gives us the ability to customize and modify equipment for each customer. Our experienced technicians work with you and your team of healthcare providers to offer personalized services and care.

Matheny’s assistive technology professionals are certified by the Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Society of North America (RESNA).
