The Matheny Preschool Classroom is a nurturing, safe, and therapeutic environment for fostering learning, as well as the social and emotional development so critical during the early childhood years. Our preschool team creates individualized opportunities for each child to engage all of the five senses to promote self-direction. Through the use of switch adapted toys, touch screen computers and iPads, a specially designed sensory room, and an extensive array of therapy tools, the team leads fun and stimulating activities to help students achieve their individualized goals.

Preschool options include full day, half day, and extended school year programs. We recognize this is most likely the child’s first experience spending time away from home, and we help both child and parents adjust by encouraging parents to visit and participate in the classroom. The option of half-day preschool is also available to ease the transition to school.
