Matheny is hosting a Casino Night fundraising event on Friday April 12, 2019 from 6:00-10:00 p.m. at the Arts Center Gallery on Matheny’s campus. Our guests will enjoy casino play tables with a silent auction, tricky tray raffle baskets, 50/50, music, food, open bar and other fun surprises. Our goal is to raise funds to support our adult services programs at our Peapack and Hillsborough campuses.

Spring time brings renewal. Flowers bloom, the days are longer and warmer, and the world seems brighter and full of hope as it awakens from the long winter.
It might seem strange to talk about this as we prepare for the year-end holiday season but hear us out, because spring time provides the perfect backdrop for a time-honored rite of passage that many teens and young adults eagerly anticipate… Prom!

The Matheny School is a unique private school where children with various developmental disabilities, physical challenges and rare diseases, find a safe and supportive environment where they can reach their highest academic, social, vocational, and personal potential.

It’s a community event and fundraiser that gathers patients, students, residents, families, friends, and neighbors to celebrate every person’s achievements and abilities rather than focus on their disabilities. Miles has something for everyone – wheelchair and fitness walks and several cycling events – it’s a fun day for all! Join us March 25 at 6pm for “Plays by People,” a collaborative event between the Arts Access Program at Matheny and Premiere Stages at Kean University that showcases staged readings of short plays written by (and in some cases performed by) #ArtsAccess artists with #disabilities. The Arts Access Program at Matheny, empowers individuals with disabilities to create art without boundaries. Through the use of innovative systems and techniques, participants can fully participate in the visual, performing and literary arts. Regardless of their disability, clients are provided with the tools and materials needed to take full creative control over their artistic journey. Arts Access provides clients with a nurturing environment for expression; a chance to interact with other artists; and an opportunity for performance and exhibition.
