Our annual celebration is back

Saturday, May 30th

Join us this spring on the hilltop in Peapack and be part of this historic celebration. There will be activities for all ages, including live music, a BBQ lunch and food trucks, carnival games, a petting zoo, a bounce house, and more.

Miles for Matheny is our signature event and largest annual fundraiser. While Miles is a calendar highlight every year, 2026 gives us a few extra reasons to celebrate:

• New Jersey is preparing to host eight matches during this year’s FIFA World Cup, including the prestigious final on July 19th.
• 2026 marks Matheny’s 80th anniversary – a remarkable milestone!

The World Cup teaches us that the most meaningful victories come when we work together toward a common goal. Your enthusiasm, generosity, and partnership will ensure that our mission – to provide exceptional care for individuals with medically complex disabilities – will continue for another 80 years, and beyond!

All attendees must register Miles for Matheny here. Early bird prices will run through April 30th. As part of your registration, we’ll hope you’ll participate in one of the day’s special activities!

Running and walking enthusiasts can take part in our timed 5K Trail Run/Walk. The Kids Fun Run & Obstacle Course is available for our youngest community members. And the signature Lu Huggins Wheelchair Walk is a highlight of the day, when Matheny students and residents, joined by families, friends, staff, and guests, walk and wheel through a special route through the campus. This event allows the students and residents, the true stars of Miles for Matheny, to shine.
