Volunteer at Matheny

The Volunteer Program at Matheny supports our patients, students, residents, and staff. Volunteers help us carry our mission of providing exceptional care and an optimal quality of life for children and adults with special needs and medically complex developmental disabilities.

Matheny offers a wide range of volunteer opportunities. Whether you’re interested in working in a classroom, assisting in a hospital setting, supporting our Life Enrichment Therapies, or helping artists with disabilities bring their creative visions to life, there’s a place for you here.

Through volunteering at Matheny, you can:

  • Build real world experience in healthcare, special education, and human services
  • Meet school, internship, or community service requirements while giving back in a meaningful way.
  • Discover the fulfillment that comes from making a positive difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities.

Requirements

We have health and safety requirements in place for all volunteers to ensure the safety of our students and residents. For more information, please contact Julia Halsey, Outreach and Events Manager: jhalsey@matheny.org.
