Matheny’s involvement in the community is multifaceted:

• We reach out to partners in the community through a very special program called Community Connections.
• An extraordinary auxiliary group, The Friends of Matheny, raises money in the community by operating the Second Chance Thrift Shop and sponsoring other fundraising events.
• We provide our expertise to families of infants and toddlers in early intervention programs.
• We help public school districts better manage the challenges of educating their special needs students.
• We assist our adult patients in attaining their highest level of independent functioning.
